The workings of the clock
This table displays the different words I chose to be able to accurately tell the time. I grouped them by seeing which letters would match up, in order to avoid writing two “E’s”. For example in the third row I used the E in “Nine” to start the word “Eleven”. The “X’s” represent empty spaces that serve as fillers.
The background of the clock
I wanted the background to be something fun, & interesting to look at, while also not drawing attention from the letters of the clock. That’s why I chose to work with a Voronoi Tessellation.
Voronoi Tessellation refers to the number of points scattered on a plane subdivides in exactly n cells enclosing a portion of the plane that is closest to each point. The pattern can be found in nature, such as in cells and a giraffe's coat, architecture, art & computer science.
